The Patron Spirits of these patrons, however, disapproved of the Wild Rose Order’s anarchic liberalism. As a result, the Order of the Wild Rose was ultimately reduced to exile after nearly two centuries of decline, with the adventurers who had been its most common adherents building the Freeport of Haven and the Pirates of Haven’s Port, who plundered Imperial shipping.

This is especially true with Slave Galleys, which aid a system that their Patron Spirit despises.
